Hello all,
In the UK I believe that we experienced the same problems as German users and owners of the A Class. Apparently on the early models the rear trailing arm worn far to early, it was accepted by Mercedes Benz that this was actually a vehicle fault and apparently A Class owners had to take their cars back to the place of purchase, namely, their dealerships. However it appears that some A Class in the UK are still suffering from this fault. One owner has reported that their local dealership will replace the parts and the owner will have to pay taking into consideration the age, mileage etc around 60% 30% of the cost.
Could you please respond....
1/ Do you think that the A Class owner should pay anything?
2/ Does anyone know of the exact parts that are replaced during this process - is there anything the owner should be aware of, any additional costs or parts for example bushes, radius arm assembly etc ?
3/ Has anyone else had any similar experience with any kind of fault?
Thank you in advance.
Peter East.
