Hi folks!
Did you know that there is a way to disable the ESP, ABS and BAS completely on the W203? Perfect if you'd like to do some smoky burnouts , or dyno test your car. Here's the procedure:
1. Turn ignition key to position one (I)
2. Immediately press the resetbutton in the instrument cluster, and keep it depressed until you hear a beep (~25 secs).
3. On the left steering wheel button, depress the lower right (the one with a sheet under a sheet).
4. This will bring up a new menu in the cluster!
5. Move around (like usual) in this menu, and select "dyno mode on". Leave this menu.
6. You will now get 3 faults (nothing to worry about! These will disappear as soon as you restart your car)
7. Start the car.
8. The ESP, ABS and BAS is now completely disabled!
9. Call up the first screen in the "secret" menu. Here you can read the current oil level in measures of 0.1 litre.
10. Drive off with a smoky burnout , but be aware that none of the help systems are active!
To reset back to normal:
1. Shut of the engine
2. Remove ignition key
3. Restart engine
Kinda cool, don't you think?
This will work for the W203 only!!!
Regards
/Daniel
