Sorry as I am not German but live in Malta
In the last week, my X-case has been rattling quite a bit.
My vehicle is a W164, ML300cdi, 2010
My mechanic narrowed it down to the transfer case.
My questions/concerns:
1) Where is the part number on these boxes? Is it visible underneath the vehicle? - The only visible number we could see is: DCS 122 5191 CAV 04
2) Who delivers such cases? - MB are useless in my area
3) Are there any improved boxes? - The vehicle is £86,000, but it's my warhorse and I can't afford to break it.
4) Do I need additional gaskets when pairing the new X case with the Gbox?
5) Are X cases interchangeable between different models?
